"Napoleone" wine is a red, still, and dry wine, made from Corvina and Merlot grapes within the types allowed by the designation. Tenuta la Presa winery is one of the most important viticultural realities in the province of Verona. The area where Tenuta la Presa is located has historically been dedicated to viticulture. The wines of Tenuta la Presa, particularly the red blend "Napoleone," are characterized by the right balance of sugar and alcohol and good fixed acidity, which enhances their aromas and helps preserve them over time. The winery produces approximately 6000 bottles of "Napoleone" wine, highlighting its significance within the company's production.

PRODUCTION AREA: Caprino Veronese

VINE PROTECTION METHODS: Integrated pest management; controlled environmental impact.

PRODUCTION METHOD: Once pressed and destemmed, the grapes are deprived of about 25-30% of the must and subsequently cooled and put to macerate at a temperature below 10°C. After the 4th day the temperature is allowed to rise naturally up to 25°C.

HARVEST TIME: First ten days of September

MATURATION PROCESS: Drying for 2-3 months in 6 kg crates. Cold maceration of the grapes at a temperature below 10°C per 5-6 days, accompanied by daily pumping-over. Natural increase of the temperature to 23°C, with intensified pumping-over and start of the alcoholic fermentation. Draining off and finishing of the alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Natural tartaric stabilisation.

AGENING: Maturation for a minimum of 30 months in oak casks and barriques, of different sizes and origins (Slavonia, France and North America).

NOTES: Bright, deep ruby red. Small, ripe red fruits (strawberries, raspberries, cherries), fleshy red roses and dark spicy notes (tobacco, cocoa powder, liquorice). Rich, intense and mouth-filling, with smooth tannins and an appealing tanginess.
