The cultivation of Uva di Troia in the north of Apulia dates back to a long time ago. It is the result of the tenacity and strength of the winemakers who in the past years have kept the winemaking traditions of this area intact. Frederick II of Swabia had already praised the great qualities of this vine and he deeply loved its fruit. After vinification and fermentation, it acquires a colour so solid and impenetrable to be called "Nero di Troia".
